End demand legislation

Sex work legislation criminalising the purchase of sexual services with the goal of ending demand for those sexual services. In other words, it criminalises the client, not the sex worker. End demand legislation is also known as the Nordic Model or Swedish Model. This type of legislation is favoured by anti-sex work activists seeking to eliminate sex work altogether. End demand legislation is rejected by all sex workers’ rights organisations, including Sex Work Law Reform Victoria.
