LPP’s assess brothel planning applications in some parts of New South Wales, where sex work is mostly decriminalised. A Local Planning Panel under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (NSW), consists of a chair, two independent expert members and a community member who assess development applications (DAs) made to local councils. Victoria does not have Local Planning Panels.
